GP client setting to fix report margins on one workstation

When printing trial balance reports, there are no margin settings that are selectable on the printer when printing reports. The reports lines right up to the left side of the 8.5X11 sheet so when holes are punched, accounting information is removed (only part of the account number, etc.). This only happens at one workstation and works fine on others.

Is there a GP client setting to fix this issue instead of changing all the reports’ layouts?

I've run into this issue in the past.  DO NOT CHANGE THE REPORT SETTING.  This is a printer issue.  Go to your printer manual and manually adjust the printer.  If you don't have the manual, find it online.  Otherwise you are then going to have all your other users complaing.  Unfortunately learned this the hard way while I was doing consulting.  Don't adjust the report or you will get driven crazy you the rest of your users.

Does the Print Dialog Box display when you print a report?

If yes, you may be able to adjust the margin. Whatever adjustment you make in the dialog is stored in the Dex.ini file on the workstation and will be applied to every report printed if you don't change it back.

Below is the Print Dialog box with the setting circled. This dialog comes up right after you hit the Print button if it has not been suppressed by the .ini setting.

    Kiind regards,

Thanks Susan and Leslie for your suggestions!

Susan, it sounds right. When trying to print the report using another printer, there is no issue. I'll take a look at the manual and see what settings in the margins I can adjust for.

Leslie, the report files look like they are shared so I'm not sure that I want to alter the margin alignments since it would alter margins for the other users. The alignment section circled is also greyed out so I cannot adjust for the margins anyhow. If I wanted to, is there a way to do away with the greying out?

Susan, what exactly do we need to adjust in the printer setting? We are having the same issue with some GP reports for most users however margins for anything else printed to this printer are just fine.
