Create a new lead instead of updating a closed lead

Hello,

Can anyone help me on how to create new leads instead of updateing closed leads?

We are working with forms on our website. and the form matching is inplace.

When a lead is disqualified or qualified to an opportunity, the lead is "closed"

If this person submits a form the closed lead is updated. This is not what i want, i want to create a NEW lead.

Is this possible? how can i realize this? In the form matching, i can not add a matching criteria on status.

    Hi Marco,

    I'm wondering if you want to just create no updates to the lead for all cases or just the inactive lead without updates.

    If it is the former one, you can enable the following option by navigating to Settings > Lead management > Lead matching strategies.

    If the case is the latter one, you can try to create a custom field whose value equals the status.

    It allows to be used in matching strategy.

    Hi Nya,

    If there is no active lead i want to create a new one.

    So I have to create a field and copy the status of the lead to this field, so i can do the matching based on this custom field.

    I understand your solution.

    ps. this solution sound a little bit strange, a simple solution would be that that the status field would be available as a matching field :-)

    Hi Marco,

    Yes. Due to the specificity of the Status field, it cannot be added to a criteria, but custom fields are possible.
