Locking Fields in Business Process Flow

Hello,

I have created a simple business rule where certain fields on business process flow are locked if one field on a stage is null. However, I noticed some fields get locked while others do not after this rule is activated and published. If the fields are on the form, then they can be locked without a problem. I tried to find out why this behavior happens but could not find the reason. Does anyone know the reason and how to fix it? Thank you

    Yes, the fields should be on the form otherwise the scripts which trigger by business rules will not work.

    The business rule does lock few fields on the BPF but not all the fields I want to lock

    What happens, if you apply the Business Rule for the Business Process Flow instead of Entity.

    I used the business rule condition: If "Business Process" equals "Case Business Process Flow" for "All Forms" and "Case" scope but I found no change of behavior
