Vendor Import

Hi All ,

I have a same vendor in 15 companies , but addresses are differenent , can I import with different address in all 15 LE's by createing the 15 records in one excel file and import through DIXF in Ax 2012 R3 .

Is it possible ?

    Hello lally, 

    Address information is kept together with PartyId so all the vendors will have all of these 15 addresses if created from the same PartyId. Also you can't have different addresses as primary in different LE's. 

    If you would like to see only one address in each LE, I believe you will need to create them with different PartyIds.

    Hello,

    You are welcome.

    When you click generate source file for vendor entity, just do not include the Party field.

    And set AccountNum as autogenerated in "modify mapping" form. And you will be all set.

    Here is the template I use for Vendor imports:

    Accountnum;Name;NameAlias;VendGroup;Currency;PaymTermId;VatNum;PaymMode;Phone;Email;TaxGroup;LanguageId

    To set VatNum you should first import tax vat numbers to TaxVatNumTable then assign it to vendors with the template above.

    I mean that Vendor name is same for example : Adidas and located in different countries , client will purchase the material from different countries and important thing is centralized payment , so what is the best way to import the vendor with different addresses in all client companies in one databse link with same party ID in Ax 2012 R2 ?

    If vendor name is same but party id will be different legal entity wise. so your address will be mapped on party.

    Example:

    V Name   LE       PartyID

    FG            CEU    9990

    FG            CEE     9901

    Is this correct.
