Not able to update Code in gen. prod posting group

Hi,

We are not able to update the code in the Gen. Prod Posting group which we were able to do previously.

Has something changed ?If anyone can help.Getting the following error:

However we are able to create new without any issue.

    It looks like you have some customization in your system that cause this error.

    You need to talk to your developer and let them have a look at this or uninstall the customization.

    Hi, Simply because the field you entered exceeds the length.

    But the length of this field is 20, and there is no additional control. So it is no problem without customization. Your developer does not have a uniform field length, it is recommended to contact your partner.

    Hi Zhu,

    Thanks for this . Yes I have checked in environments without customisation and the problem persisits hence it is the code now I am actually the developer and is there a way to increase the length of the field I guess no. If there is then let me know because it is a microsoft code

    Unfortunately, we cannot modify standard field length via table extension.
    It would be strange if this problem still exists in the standard environment. You can debug it and see where the problem is.

    I tried teating in an environment sandbox without any customistion the problem persists however in the demo data environment it seems to be ok. The error message says there is a retail column in demo data manufacturing setup however this table does not exist .Do you hav ethe same error in your env?

    Hi, I have tested the two versions of W1 in the current SaaS, and there is no problem.

    Version: W1 21.0 (Platform 21.0.46384.49089 + Application 21.0.46256.46853)

    Version: W1 21.1 (Platform 21.0.48357.49081 + Application 21.1.48363.48789)

    After your reminder, I wonder if it has something to do with Contoso Coffee Demo Dataset? What happens if you uninstall this extension?

    Hi Zhu,

    You are bang on,

    I did un-deploy the Contoso coffee demo extension and was able to update the code in the gen. prod posting group.

    Just thinking would undeploying the extension cause an issue.
