Approval Threshold

Hello,
We have about 40 users who can raise a PO and release them but when the threshold reaches a set amount then we need senior management to then approve. Say 10,000.
I do not want the seniors to get an email for every PO only the ones they need to approve. Ie >=10,000
I have tried to set a filter on the workflow to allow release for 10k, but this has not worked as the PO then enters the workflow and the user must choose ‘send to approval’ rather than just allowing a release.
Do I need to set all 40 users a limit on their approval user page to 10,000? I do not want senior management to be aware of any PO’s unless they are high value.
Thanks
I have the same question (0)

If you have a condition in the approval workflow that the PO amount must be equal or greater than 10,000, then a PO with an amount less than that can simply be released by clicking Release. It will not enter the workflow.

If you try to click Send Approval Request for such a PO, you will get a message that No approval workflow for this record type is enabled.
