Create a table similar to the Customer Asset table

Posted on by 2
Hello all, somewhat new to D365 and I want to create a table or use a existing table that I can add tasks to a customer, the number of tasks are different for each customer and have unique metadata about them like start, finish.

I could use the Customer Asset table but it has too many required fields and relationships that are not relevant to our account records.

I don't think modifying the assets table is the right approach and using the OOB tasks table is not the right type of relationship.

Thanks for any help

Hi there, you can create a custom “activity” type table called customers tasks. It acts like tasks , notes, emails, appointments , etc. you use set regarding the account and it will show up in account timeline.

    Hi Partner,

    Note:
Table creation involves system customisation and users need sufficient privileges(System Administrator and System Customizer security roles)

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
