What is the recommended path/strategy to learn Electronic Reporting?

I need to learn ER ASAP to create three key outbound reports before March 2021 (our D365 Go live is May 2021):

Intrastat
UK VAT
EC Monthly Sales

I have been told that I do not need training and that I could learn ER just using the MS user guides and the online training. I have gone through the documentation and the more I read the more I think the potential of this tool is massive and the documentation is quite extensive.

However, I am unsure that I will be able to do the reports on time. Moreover I cannot dedicate 100% of my time to this as I am also creating reports using Power BI Desktop and Lasernet Formpipe

What is the forum view on this? will I be able to create the reports in 1/2 months just using the standard documentation

Do I need support training? if so how many hours or days will be advisable?

Hi Rafael,

For ER, I would recommend to read and follow documentation in Docs: community.dynamics.com/.../what-is-the-recommended-path-strategy-to-learn-electronic-reporting

It's no so complex if you use the standard functionality and import the configurations from LCS repository.

Using your own formulas and creating your own configurations might be more complex and most probably you would need some TECH knowledge.

About the 3 requirements that you asked:

For Intrastat: docs.microsoft.com/.../emea-intrastat

UK VAT: docs.microsoft.com/.../emea-gbr-mtd-vat-integration

EC monthly Sales: Are you referring to EU Sales List? In case you are referring to EU Sales list: docs.microsoft.com/.../emea-eu-sales-list
