I want to cycle count 1 item in GP - I am using GP2013. I am using Multi-Bins.
I go to Inquiry - Bin Quantities - put my item and site in - refresh - GP returns 10 records with only 1 Bin having a quantity of 10. The other 9 bins have been used previously but do not have any current quantity on hand.
If I create a stock count and add the one item and if I leave unchecked the checkbox on the mass add window that says 'include item/site with zero on hand quantities' - I want GP to only add 1 record to the count and to print only one count sheet - for the 1 bin with a quantity.
Unfortunately, the checkbox doesn't seem to apply to Bins. I always get 10 records and 10 count sheets. Whether it's checked or unchecked.
Any thoughts on modifying this window behavior? Do folks generally want a stock count sheet to print for every Bin that has ever held a quantity for an item?
Is there a setting under items or inventory control that I am missing?
If I were to process counts by bin (not item number) I have one Bin that has had 677 different item numbers been processed through it........I certainly don't want to give somebody 677 count sheets and say - go count this bin........
Thoughts? Suggestions?
