Check in Cronus DB how the roles and permissions are created and use those as reference for creating new roles and permissions .

    Hi Tharanga ,

best maintaning and controlling permissions can handle user role wise (Permission sets)

Identify the user role wise (what are the thing users are going to do) and create new permission set and test it and assign those permission set to users

Eg : if Audit user need to view system (they dont wanna entries )

you can make new permission set "Audit" and assign required permission to that new permission set

like wise you can create user role wise permission set "Best method " KPMG also recommended

make sure when you assign new user permission set to particular user add following permission set along with your new user permission set

    1. ADCS ALL

    2. BASIC

You can refer to Cronus DB configuration to get an idea on how the permission should be assign. I always recommend to create permission sets based on functionality, as an example

    - Post General Journal

    - Edit General Journal

    - Create Customer

    - Edit Customer

like wise. Then it will be easy for admin to control the permission of the user. As an example if a new person joins to company, Admin can assign permission sets based on what he suppose to do.

If you create permission sets based on his job role (accountant, data entry operator, assistant accountant), then think one person is doing one extra job just for a one day to fill someone else's place, then admin will run into issues assigning a permission set.
