"Session Expired" when trying to enter a new time sheet

Posted on by 20

Just upgraded a client from SharePoint Services 2.0 and Business Portal 3.0 to WSS 3.0 and BP 5.0.  They have also upgraded from Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 to GP 2010.

They use BP strictly for Time and Expense.  Everyone appears to working except one user.  Immediately when attempting to create a new time sheet he receives a "Session Expired" error message.  We verified he is using a supported browser and had him clear out all of his temp files. The default timeout is set to 20 minutes and no other users are experiencing this issue.

Any suggestions to troubleshoot would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Did you manage to resolve this? I am getting exactly the same thing after upgrading to BP 5.1 on GP2010...any further suggestions would be much appreciated? Thanks,

    Mike,

Here are a couple questions/comments that might help.

    - Was Business Portal PTE ever working for this user?  If yes, did it stop working immediately after your recent upgrade?

    - Have your user log in to Business Portal from a working user's machine.  This will help us know if the issue is environment or user related.

    - Check to see if your user has any companies in the company drop down.  There have been cases where users do not have companies, which could result in this error.

    Thanks

    Rob
