Hi,

While doing the FA sale entry from Free Text Invoice I am getting the error, "Account number for transaction type Fixed assets, debit does not exist". I have tried with INR "0" amount and I am able to post the Free Text but not with INR 1.

Please suggest.

Hello Jaswant S Rathore and Kaled Allound,

The ledger account that posts the revenue from the FA sale should actually default automatically once the fixed asset is selected in the free text invoice. If it does not, then something is missing in the posting profile setup.

Do you have one of the contoso demo companies available e.g. in a test or demo system? If so, try to take a look at how the CEU company is setup and compare it with your own setup.

In the yellow field there you should specify a Revenue account which will credited against Customer, since you are selling with 0 or 1 value then it would not have major impact (example of an account: Gains On Disposal Of Property, Plant And Equipment)

Hi,

While creating the Free Text Invoice I don't know which ledger I have to select for "Ledger Account", on Google its showing P&L account and its should come automatically but in my case its not coming auto.

Why would you like to have your ledger account excluded from the account structure?

Can you elaborate on that?

In general here are the types that can be affected by the sale:

Net Book Value

Depreciation adjustment

Profit/Loss

Acquisition (prior years) ..

Depreciation adjustments (this year) ..

Acq Adjustment

Depreciation (this year) ..

Make sure that all accounts defined here (and in the setup) are valid accounts in your Acc Structure.

If my Ledger is not a part of Account Structure than I would not able to post the Free Text Invoice but I can post the entry with "0" amount.

Hello :)

1- This issue has been posted here in several occasions, if not the account is missing from the FA posting profile setup, then it is definitely the ledger account/s used is not valid in your Acc. structure.

2- If you want to sell the asset at 0 price then you need to change the workflow status to Approved from the header

There must be an account setup missing in the issue/sale section
