We are currently using ADX portals with ADFS integrated sign in, and we are currently able to pre-create contacts in the portal and associate them to external accounts using the format <domain-name>/<samaccountname>.
We are currently testing integration with users created directly in Azure AD and it appears that you can't easily associate contacts with external accounts as the user ID that gets populated when a user registers with an Azure AD account is some form of hash of their user ID in Azure AD. I can't currently find any documentation on how this value is computed. Is there a workflow we can call against the contact in the portal to generate this?
Ideally we want to automate the creation of contacts in CRM along with the association to the external Azure AD account as we don't want to have user registration open for random users on the front end as this is not appropriate for the use of the portal, but the portal does need to be visible to the Internet.
Is there a way of achieving this?
