Hi:

When using Manufacturing, is it a requirement to create separate locations for Receipt, Pack, and Shipment processes even when Bins are not being used?

Thanks!

John

    Hello John,

This is not mandatory but it's depend on your Business Process.

Like Is the company is Manufacturing the Finished Goods in Same Company or different Company or they are using Transfer method, there are several possibilities.

Please go through this : learn.microsoft.com/.../inventory-how-setup-locations

    Hi John,

It's Mandatory. And even I sure you are aware about what difference between Location Zone & Bins.

And I suggest if at your physical location area if you have different area to put your stock. Then i suggest you should create similar on BC also. So Warehouse user can easily identify where you location stock.

    Hope this will help.

    Many Thanks,
    Manan
