RM Blank Document Modified Word Template

I use a modified RM Blank Document to print Receivables Invoices off of. I'd like to create a template from this report but when I go to the Template Maintenance screen and choose RM Blank Document (modified) as the report, there are no Templates to select. There is however, the GP default template if I choose the original RM Blank Document.

Is there a way to create a template from my modified report? This report is significantly different from the original and I'd like to not have to start from scratch if possible.

    No - you need to create a new word template. The word templates do not recognise the 'design' of your modified report - only the additional fields you have dragged on to it, what sections the fields are in, and new calculated fields etc that you have added in report writer.

    You will not be able to open a template in Word that looks exactly like the modified report in report writer. All you can do is create a new template (which will have all the resources of the modified report), but you will have to re-do the layout in word.

    Thanks, Ian. Any helpful tips on doing the template from scratch? Maybe there is some sort of layout design detail I can print from my modified report and recreate in the word template?

    I'm new at the templates and am thinking it could take a while to recreate from scratch while getting the hang of how to do it in general. Any advice is much appreciated!

    Am I mistaking but I'M using the Default Word doc of the RM Blank Document  with the INITIAL report ( not the modified)  I'm assigning a New word template (coming from the GP Default template). and I'm Still missing the Customer ID, Purchase order  Payment terms.  they won't show on the Word.  

    anybody have this issue as well?
