Feature that allow Smartlist to be used in Navigation list

Posted on by 2,510

This may be a feature that is only available from Smartlist Builder but does anyone know if you can use a Smartlist favorite at a Navigation list?  IF so, how?

    Hi Brenda,

I have been doing some digging into this to see if there was a way to do this without having to use third parties however, it does not appear to be possible with a vanilla install of Dynamics GP. Navigation List Builder would be one of the ways to best accomplish what you are looking for.

I understand your issue and think it is a great suggestion for a future release.

Microsoft has consolidated feedback systems and we are now using Microsoft Connect for all feedback. The Connect site requires users to login with a Microsoft Live ID profile. So, to gain access to the Connect site, you must first register in Connect and join the Connect for Microsoft Dynamics Group. If you have previously signed up in the Connect site for other programs, you will still need to click on the first link to join the Connect for Microsoft Dynamics program.

If you are new to Connect for Microsoft Dynamics, use the site below to register:

    connect.microsoft.com/dynamicssuggestions

If you are already signed up for Connect for Microsoft Dynamics, use the site below to add a new suggestion or enter a vote for an existing product suggestion:

    connect.microsoft.com/.../default.aspx

After you register, you will be able to apply for participation in numerous programs on the Microsoft Connect site. Benefits of registration include the ability to download files, submit feedback on various products and technologies, vote on feedback, or validate existing feedback items.

Navigation List Builder allows you to publish your SmartList into the Navigation List user interface.
