I'm the one on this forum

currently i'am used GP 8 

Does anyone who upgrade from 8 to 10 ?

any how to's or tutorial or somekind success story about upgrade from 8 to 10 including customize windows and etc.

    I thought Neo was "the one" ... :)

    You should review the upgrade documentation thats available from Partnersource/CustomerSource. Thats the most important!

    Do you have a GP Partner ? If you have a lot of customizations, I recommend using the experience of your GP Partner.

    Sorry I'm misspelled .. I mean "I am the new one on this forum" :-)

    I already contact my partner source for this issue and i'm aware about the customization like window, the dic, etc. 

    So i want to know if someone already upgrade their GP from 8.0 to 10 including the customization itself wether any problem that happened or what issue their faced when upgarde from 8.0 to 10.

    Hmm .. anyway ..thank's for the link. Glad to hear that if anyone already successed upgrade their GP 8.0 to 10.0 with no problem or less workarround.

    Hi Dedy,

    Yes, a lot of people have upgraded from GP 8 to GP 10 successfully. In fact people are now upgrading to GP 2010, which is the latest version with great features.  

    If you have a lot of customizations, I would strongly recommend carrying out a test upgrade in a test environment. This way you can test your customizations in GP 10, before going live. This way you will also get time to upgrade and test the security in GP 10, which changed significantly from how it was in GP 8.

    Anyway... is it compatible the dic from version 8.0 to deploy in version 10.0 ?

    i mean .. technically is it compatible?

    Dedy,

    When you upgrade, you will see the option to upgrade the reports dictionary to V 10 as well. Keep a backup and refer to the upgrade documentation.

    Vaidy has a nice article about Upgrading Custom Forms and Reports dictionary
