Can we customize the custom alert to send dynamic fields in the text of the email?

Hi All,

We have configured custom alerts to send notifications on email when a credit limit has been updated. We want to send the email text as the previous credit limit and the current credit limit.

Is it possible to customize and send a dynamic text on the email?

when using customer workflow, it tracks the old value and new value, could perhaps use workflow
