eConnect SOP Header Update for Freight

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am using the SOP Header Node of eConnect to take a currently existing document and ONLY update the freight amount - nothing else.  My update never changes the freight amount.  eConnect, however, never returns an error code.  That leads me to believe that there is something I'm either setting wrong in the other variables or something else I'm not doing.  My first question is this:  to simply update an SOP document for the freight amount, do I have to use the SOP line node as well and pass in all the lines?  The schema document seems to insinuate that, but that seems like a lot of extra work for this one simple change... and since eConnect isn't returning any error when I run the header update by itself, I wanted to make sure before I went chasing down that road of the lines...  So, to only update the header for a freight amount, do I have to recreate all the lines?  If not, what else could I be missing that is causing my freight not to update?  Thanks!

Hope this helps. eConnect overrides few other fields of SOP10100 and SOP10200 so you might want to pass the original values in those fields as dyndeveloper.com/ArticleView.aspx
