Has anyone seen where Forecaster crashes on a regular basis? We're getting a "Faulting Application forecaster.exe, faulting module error msvcr90.dll" error in the Event Viewer.
This is happening to all workstations and several times a day.
Thanks,
Jon

Well, that's not a lot to go on at this point. It would be good to try to isolate it a little further so that we know which input tab they're using (typically), what they're doing at the time, etc. It may not be exactly the same for everyone, but if it is happening as frequently and as widespread as you've said, there has to be an explanation that covers the majority of folks.
I'm going to venture a guess and say that the issue is likely on the Human Resources input tab, as this is where I've seen most otherwise unexplainable input-related issues arise.
Try having an administrator go into the Human Resources master screen (Data | Human Resources Master) and looking at that input set, scan for any blank records on the screen. If there are blank records, this implies an inconsistency within the database.
Another inconsistency could occur if an employee's pay type records somehow became disassociated with the employee.
These issues are best handled through a qualified support technician or a consultant who thoroughly knows the database tables and how they interrelate and can therefore go behind the scenes, find the missing records and correct them. My company provides these services, so if you do not have a current support agreement in place with Microsoft or someone else, you may wish to contact us at www.msxgroup.com.
Let us know if you find out more details. I'd be glad to try to troubleshoot further.

SP3 HF4. The users are usually in an input set when it happens. There doesn't seem to be any other consistencies to the timing though.
Do you know what feature users are using when it crashes? Do you know what exact version of Forecaster is being used? This information will be critical to trying to diagnose the issue.
