Kanban: There are no valid flows between the selected activities

Hi All,

I receive the following message: 'There are no valid flows between the selected activities' when I try to create a Kanban Rule. please see the printscreen.

Do you need a transfer kanban between the two?

I've got the same issue...

I'm trying to make a Manufacturing Kanban rule that spans 3 activities:

- process

- process

- transfer

I can get it to work by making a Manufacturing Kanban rule for the first two activities, and then a Withdrawal Kanban rule for the transfer activity. But I want to have only one set of Kanban Cards circulating.

I've made a production flow (and validated and activated) which consists of the three activities that I want to combine.

The first process activity:

The third process activity:

Any suggestions?

Apparently this happens if the activity in the Kanban flow does not consume the WIP from the predecessor activity. The first activity should produce semi-finished goods, the second activity should consume it.
