Exporting and Importing Batches

I have a recurring batch that we post at the 1st of each month. Is there anyway to export this batch and reimport it after I delete batches stuck in posting/receivings/busy?

We are beginning to run query and delete in mssql for batch stuck in posting/receiving/etc. Is there another tool we can use? Will this affect our recurring batches?

There is no builtin function for this in GP as far as I know.

From SQL you can export the tables out and reimport them.

Can't you just update the batches that are stuck and exclude this batch in the WHERE clause of your SQL script?

    Hi,

    Let's simplify your case:

You have few single use batches with posting interruptions which you'd like delete. (In my personal opinion, why not recover using the facility in Great Plains, if possible)

You have few recurring batches which are unposted which you'd like to keep.

What process in Great Plains will affect the latter batches when you delete the former batches? Or am I missing a major detail in your scenario?

    Cheers,

    Dencio

There is nothing wrong with the recurring batch, we have other batches that are stuck and we don't want this one deleted because we run it every month.

    Hi,

What if you just recover the batch using Batch Recovery?

Another is just update the status of the batch?

Is the transaction saved in that batch corrupted?

Please let us know further details so we can recommend more applicables resolutions.

    Cheers,

    Dencio
