We're upgrading from 2011 to 365.
In 2011 we're using XBITZ Autonumber.
This appears to be either unavailable in 365 or completely defunct.
Can anyone confirm this? And if so is there a recommended new product?

If you go to the latest - just use OOB Autonumbering - docs.microsoft.com/.../create-auto-number-attributes
To avoid writing of the code you can use XrmToolbox with following plugin - www.xrmtoolbox.com/.../

My client was upgrading from CRM 2011 to D365, they have the same solution and i couldn't find D365 version of it as well. As far as i remember, the solution was still functioning though.
You can use the one in XrmToolBox. However, i developed our internal solution for Auto Numbering as the other public tools were not really covering what i wanted.
