I'm hoping someone may be able to steer me in the right direction.  I'm more of a technical guy when it  comes to Frx (setup, upgrades, troubleshooting, etc.).  I'm working with a client in the US who is just getting up and running on GP.  Their parent company is in the UK so their existing FRx reports aren't very helpful. I need to create some simple financial reports (BS, TB, IS) to help with our reconcilation from Quick Books to GP.  I've been in the GP world for about 15 years but never had to build reports from scratch.  I thought that when you first install FRx, there are some sample reports in the catalog.  However, I don't see these in the current setup.  I created a new Spec Set and pointed it to the local Frx directory as to not mess with the shared catalog.  I created a company for the test database we use and assigned the new spec set to that, but when I logged into that DB, I got the message that there are no catalogs.

I tried using the report wizard for the TB, but it didn't look all that great and I don't want to dig too deep if something already exists. I want to get my hands on the samples - if they exist. Can anyone help?

    Douglas,

    We didn't do an implementation here.  They already implemented it years ago in the UK and simply set up a new company.  At some point they will upgrade, but right now it's not an option.  Matter of fact, they are still on SP5.  I suggested upgrading to the latest, but they didn't see a benefit since nothing was broken...  

    I opted to go for the wizard approach to get this moving.  Now i just have to find out where I left my accounting "hat" and put that back on.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\FRx Software\FRx 6.7\Help  if you look in this folder you will see a sample report pdf. This has all the report layout for the FW compnay.

    Jim - any reason on why they opted to go with FRx instead of Management Reporter?   Especially since you have to build financials from scratch and it appears that the FRX reports are not being rolled into the UK company.

    OK, I think I figured this out on my own.  Pointed the spec set to FRxdemo.f32.  I had to log out and then back in order to see the demo reports.  

    Any advice that may help would be greatly appreciated.
