Job Queue Run Date formula

Hi All,

I would like to seek some advice regarding the Next Run Date Formula for Job Queue Entries.

Our goal is to have the job run on the last day of every month.

Currently, I have configured the Next Run Date Formula as 1M. However, I've noticed an issue with the recurrence:

31 Jul → 31 Aug
31 Aug → 30 Sep
30 Sep → 30 Oct (Expected: 31 Oct)

Once the schedule reaches a month with only 30 days, the recurrence continues on the 30th instead of returning to the 31st for months that have 31 days. So, the job no longer runs on the last day of the month.

Has anyone encountered this before? Is there a recommended way to configure the Job Queue so that it always runs on the last calendar day of every month, regardless of whether the month has 28, 29, 30, or 31 days?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Dia,
Use CM+1D+CM in the Next Run Date Formula instead of 1M; Business Central evaluates date formulas from left to right, where CM means the last day of the current month, so the formula moves to the current month-end, adds one day to enter the next month, then moves to that month’s end—for example, 31 Aug → 30 Sep → 31 Oct → 30 Nov, including February correctly. Set the Earliest Start Date/Time to the first required month-end and mark the job as recurring.
