I am looking for a way to extend the login for a user in the Point of Sale system through Microsoft RMS 2007. Currently, the prompt for username and password come up after each transaction, and we are looking to speed up the process at our registers a bit. We do small, quick transactions upwards of 800+ per day per register, and at 5 seconds each per login, it can add to our efficiency a bit if we had a way to keep a user logged in for 30 minutes or an hour. Does anyone know if there is a way to configure this in Store Operations Manager or Administrator.

Excellent! That was exactly what I needed. I was searching through configuration in Manager and Administrator and simply didn't see the subfolder that the check box was in. Thanks again.

Hi Glen,

If this is RMS we are talking about, then go to RMS Store Operations Manager / File / Configuration / Options tab. The click on POS Options folder and uncheck the "Force login after each transaction" option... and you should have it working as You want, not forcing the login after each sale...
