Hi,

I am using Data management in D365FO to import data from excel (with 75 lines) using the entity Item Groups and get an error with no description in staging data.

The same data is imported successfully when i import one line...

Any clue on how to resolve this issue?

Most likely you have a duplicate record in your file.

Could you tell us what's the log text at "Job history -> View execution log" of your importing project?

Hi Macarena,

I have an unconventional recommendation :-)

Enter the 75 lines manually.

This is faster and easier than spending hours here in this forum and in your machine trying to get this resolved.

If you only need to import the 75 lines one time - which I assume - then you will be much faster doing this manually ;-)

There is either duplicate records or bad data in a field in one of the record. I have seen such error in these cases.

Record for Id - R61IRQNOM not found.

Issue exist in generate staging data

'0' 'Item groups' record(s) inserted in staging

I need to import several times into that entity for different environments and projects. Therefore I cannot do it manually.

In the execution log i have this:

Record for Id - R61IRQNOM not found.

Issue exist in generate staging data

'0' 'Item groups' record(s) inserted in staging

Hi Macarena,

Try the following:

Setup a single item group and export it to excel via data management.

Then use the very same template, add the other 74 group elements and execute the import with the same template.

This usually works.

It seems record R61IRQNOM is trying to find related information from other related tables. Is there read only data source in your entity that should get information for record R61IRQNOM? Try removing this record from file and import others.
