How to cancel a sales credit note

Hi All,

In Sales Invoice screen you can see the cancel option. However, when it comes to credit notes you do not have this option so how do you cancel credit notes?

Use a general journal so you can apply to the document and then post a line that has the opposite has the reverse total. There is a field called “correction” that you could use here too for a better audit trail.

Alternative from this would be to post another credit memo but with a minus qty line for the same value and apply it to the first.

Find and open your draft or awaiting approval credit note. Use search if you know the contact's name or credit note amount. Click Credit Note Options, then select Delete. Click Yes to confirm.
