Hello experts,
I have found that there is no period journal in AP > Payment journal unlike general journal or AR > payment jouranl.
1) Is there any specific reason why period journal does not exist for AP > Payment journal ?
2) Do you have any recommended alternative way to use period journal function for AP > payment journal?

Hello Tina,
For 1)
I don't think that there is a specific reason. Yet, if you have to make regular payments with the same amounts you should have posted a corresponding invoice document that can then be selected in the payment journal. Simply making payments without a corresponding (invoice) document is not the main/assumed practice for this functionality.
For 2)
You can use the Excel addin and upload payment amounts if you always have to pay the same amount but the best and probably safest way to deal with this is to have an invoice posting that is approved and can be selected in the payment journal.
