Generic SQL Error when trying to move specific user to parent business unit in dynamics 365 on premise

Hello, 

I am facing below error when trying to move one specific user to parent business unit in production environment. The issue occurs for only this user. This user has system administrator security role. Also, CAL license is set as Read-Write,Professional.

    Thanks at lot. Enabled tracing and found the root cause.

    Hello,

    I believe you use on-prem version of the Dynamics (correct me if I'm wrong).

    Try to turn on trace - support.microsoft.com/.../how-to-enable-tracing-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-818e8774-e123-4995-417d-7ea02395c6d0, restart iis and reproduce operation that causes the issue and check the trace folders. There should be a better explanation of why you experience an issue.
