Our dynamics instances integrate with a third part solution - and they whitelist the urls that our CRM traffic comes from.
i.e. if our URL name is FRED - then the CRM system URL is FRED.crm11.dynamics.com and the portal is FRED.microsoftcrmportals.com
We have not created a vanity URL , nor do we have any plans to do so.
We have heard a rumour that the URLs might change in the future.
i.e. for example .microsoftcrmportals.com might change to .powerappsportal.com
Does anyone know is its true if this is going to happen ? and what its likely to change to ?
Is it possible that the .crm11.dynamics.com bit is changing too ? What does the 11 signify ? (don't think its the version)
Many thanks
Greg
Thanks, I have got in touch with Microsoft re portal IP addresses.
Check following posts:
CRM IP Range - support.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-online-ip-address-ranges
I was not able to look up IP Address Ranges for CRM Portals and I recommend to get in touch with Microsoft directly to get that information.
Thanks
Have found that we need to whitelist by IP address....
Will the IP address of a CRM portal stay static ? (or be in a fixed range ?)
Greg,
crm11 stands for the UK datacenter and I don't think it will change in overseeing future.
Also I haven't heard that Microsoft plans to change anything from URL standpoint in the future.
