Hi,
When a user attempts to update a record, he receives an error. Here's what's in the log file:
Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: System.NullReferenceException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. Reference number for administrators or support: #86FDFA95Detail: <OrganizationServiceFault xmlns:i="">www.w3.org/.../XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="">schemas.microsoft.com/.../Contracts"> <ErrorCode>-2147220970</ErrorCode> <ErrorDetails xmlns:d2p1="">schemas.datacontract.org/.../System.Collections.Generic" /> <Message>System.NullReferenceException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. Reference number for administrators or support: #86FDFA95</Message> <Timestamp>2022-09-06T15:33:36.2291323Z</Timestamp> <InnerFault i:nil="true" /> <TraceText i:nil="true" /></OrganizationServiceFault>
Hello,
Unfortunately, it's not possible to give the exact answer to what's wrong because the log doesn't have any additional pointers except "System.NullReferenceException". Do you have any plugins or real-time workflows that handle the update message of your entity?
The error went away when the user ran CRM in IE Mode and signed in to Edge. Thanks!
