Currently we do not have a license for Smartlist Builder - we use the standard built in Smart list.
In the standard smartlist under the Payroll Folder there are 4 subfolders. One of the folder is Payroll Transactions - and it does not return an rows - the other folders Employees, Employee Summary, Employee Historical Transactions do return valid rows which I can filter etc.
Why will the Payroll Transactions - not return any row. Out the box there are no filters setup for this list.
Please advise.

It's possible that at the time you generated this Smartlist, you did not have any Payroll Transactions keyed into Payroll Transaction Entry. That is where this information pulls from. If you have processed payroll and have no batches sitting waiting to pay, there would be no data on this Smartlist.
No, its seems like you don't have security privilege to this smartlist. Please check your security task and try.
