Better looking CRM Workflow emails?

Is it possible to have better looking CRM Workflow emails?

We have a custom build CRM that sends emails to customers based on certain triggers. However, the CRM Workflow email functionality is very limited and not very customizable. 

I would have loved an HTML email template functionality (almost like an e-newsletter type of template) that can be customised and that looks more professional.

Any way of achieving this? (Even if it means installing a separate plugin/add-on/3rd-party tool.)

    it is possible to send an email from the workflow, just configure as explained in this link

    blog.clickdimensions.com/.../sending-clickdimensions-emails-using-microsoft-crm-workflow.html

    instead of triggering it on a posted form (as the example) trigger on your message and make sure you put the contact reference in the contact lookup

    Thank you, Guido. We have ClickDimensions, but our development-team indicated that it is not possible to fire a ClickDimensions email based on a trigger inside a CRM workflow and to also include the data of the record so that the field-tags can be populated.

    Might they be mistaken?

    You could try using a 3rd party tool like ClickDimensions.  It will allow you to create feature rich emails that you can distribute automatically based on certain criteria, it does come with a cost though.

    you can look at products like PowerMailChimp (that integrate dynamics crm with MailChimp) or ClickDimensions.
