From what I can find it doesn't appear you can limit which price lists a user can or can not view. How can that be, that seems like such a basic need? You should be able to hide a deeper discounted price list from users and allow it for managers for example. When you create a price list it should show up in the security roles and you should be able to select which roles can see that price list. Am I missing something? Is there a work around? Thanks for any help! :)

You can't manage security roles for each product catalog entities. One security role is applied for all product catalog's entities: Product, Price list ...
You can hide some buttons with JS code. You can add some security management within a plugin while you retrieve your records.
