Is it possible to leverage write-in products from CRM in Financials?
Use case:
Oppty, Quote and Order are all created in CRM. A write in product for "shipping" is added and priced respectively for said order.
Our conceptual workflow is once the "submit order" process starts in CRM our procurement department creates a sales order in financials from CRM Sales Orders based on the sales order in CRM.
The problem manifests with this error:
The sales order cannot be created. The write-in product SHIPPING does not exist.
So - is it possible to create a product in financials that will link to this write in product?
Secondly - is the process we're using the "best practice"? I only ask because ideally we would create the invoice in CRM and it would sync to financials but that doesn't seem to work - it appears as if financials only pushed posted invoices back to CRM.
