error when receiving transfer order

Hello, how are you experts, first of all, thank you very much for taking the time to read my question.

When creating a transfer order we assign the lot to the lines, in order to create the warehouse shipment as shown below




Once the lot and quantity have been placed, we create the warehouse shipment and simply register it
The problem comes when creating the warehouse receipt, when validating the /lot no/ in the lines it comes out empty, and before it took the batch with which the warehouse shipment was created
I show evidence:










 
The /Lot No/ comes empty and I cannot select any

It should be noted that this process previously worked very well and brought /lot no/ when creating the warehouse receipt, but currently it is not doing so.


 
What could I review or configure to make it bring back the /lot no/ with which the shipment was created?

    Hi Yael,

    One that’s tripped up even seasoned BC users. If your /Lot No/ used to auto-populate during warehouse receipt but now comes up empty, here are the key areas to review:

    Root Cause Possibilities

    • Item Tracking Setup
      • Confirm that the item’s Lot Tracking Code has Lot Specific Tracking enabled and that Lot Transfer Tracking is set to TRUE. This ensures lot info flows from shipment to receipt.
    • Transfer Order Line Tracking
      • Double-check that the Item Tracking Lines were correctly assigned during the shipment phase. If they were manually entered or partially filled, BC may not carry them forward.
    • Reservation Entries
      • Sometimes reservation entries get corrupted or deleted during shipment posting. You can inspect them via the Reservation Entry table to confirm if the lot info is still linked to the transfer line.
    • Warehouse Receipt Logic
      • If you're using Directed Put-away and Pick, the system may expect tracking to be re-entered manually unless configured otherwise. Also check if any customizations have altered the default behavior.
     Fixes & Workarounds 
    • Reopen the Transfer Order
      • Navigate to the transfer order and reassign the lot numbers in the Item Tracking Lines for the receipt side. This may re-trigger the reservation logic.
    • Use the “Copy Document” Function
      • When creating the warehouse receipt, use Copy Document from the shipment to ensure tracking lines are inherited.
    • Custom Correction Utility
      • If this issue is recurring, consider implementing a small AL utility that restores missing tracking lines from the shipment. Ivan Singleton’s blog which outlines a clean approach for serial tracking — easily adaptable for lot numbers.
