In Dynamics sales we suddenly get the following error when we try to revise a quote:

    Hi,
the error means that The user doesn't have Create permission on a hidden system entity called msdyn_copilottranscript.

This entity is related to Microsoft Copilot and may be trying to log a Copilot transcript behind the scenes during quote revision.
    Step-by-Step Fix:
    1. Check Security Role of the User
    Go to:

    • Advanced Settings > Security > Security Roles
    • Open the role(s) assigned to the user who encountered the error.
    2. Find the Entity msdyn_copilottranscript
This is where it gets tricky — this entity:
    • Might not show up in the regular list inside the security role editor
    • Is a hidden system entity introduced with Copilot features
    • Has Object Type Code (OTC) = 11541
    3. Grant Create Permission using XrmToolBox
If you cannot find the entity manually in the UI, use XrmToolBox:
    • Download XrmToolBox
    • Connect it to your environment
    • Open the plugin: "Role Updater" or "Security Role Editor"
    • Search by OTC = 11541 or Entity name: msdyn_copilottranscript
    • Grant the missing privilege: Create (prvCreateActivity)
    4. Test Again
    • Save the role
    • Ask the user to log out and back in (or refresh browser session)
    • Try revising the quote again

Microsoft has also added security roles specific to Copilot functionality, so before trying to find some hidden backend tables to add to a custom role I would recommend adding the CoPilot security roles to the user and then trying again. This would also be a better long-term solution, as I would anticipate additional changes to be made for necessary tables and privileges around copilot in the coming months.

Role updater in XRM Toolbox doesnt show the msdyn_copilottranscript table. Dynamics also doesnt show the table in the rights and roles
