Inventory Value Zero

Hello there, we've been using NAV2017. We wanted to show the "Inventory Value Zero" on the Page Object ID 30. I was able to preview the page with the field appearing on the item card. However, when I tried to Run the object I cannot see the field 5409 which I have been working earlier. I have already compiled the Page. Do I miss something?

If field 5409 (Inventory Value Zero) is not showing on Page 30 even after compiling, please check with your developer—it's possible the field is set to Visible = false through an extension or the base application. If that's the case, the field will not appear on the page at runtime, even though it shows up in design or preview mode.

Check the code, it is likely that the field is made visible or not by code.

This is our current setup even it was compiled, When I try to run the design it does not show the INVENTORY VALUE ZERO field.

Hello,

Ensure the field is set to visible, placed in an active section of the page, recompile both the page and item table, and clear the NAV client cache.

Also, verify that the customization or extension is properly deployed and that no filters or role restrictions are hiding the field.

This is a known issue in NAV2017. The field 5409 (Inventory Value Zero) is part of the Item table but is not visible by default on Page 30 (Item Card), even if it appears during preview or design mode.

Here’s what’s likely happening and how to fix it:

1. Visibility Property Conflict

The field may be set to Visible = false either in the base application or via an extension

Even if you see it in preview, it won’t render at runtime unless explicitly made visible

To fix this, ensure your page customization or extension sets Visible = true for field 5409

2. ApplicationArea Property Missing

If the field lacks a valid ApplicationArea (e.g., All, Basic, Suite), it may be hidden based on user profile

Add ApplicationArea = All; to ensure visibility across all roles

3. Personalization or Profile Restrictions

If the user profile has personalization enabled, the field might be hidden manually

Try resetting the page layout or testing with a different profile

4. Runtime vs. Design Behavior

Preview mode shows all fields regardless of visibility or permissions

Runtime respects layout, visibility, and license restrictions—so always test with Run after compiling
