Dynamics GP 2013 Integration Manager GL Integration Fails

I have the most basic of integrations. This one is into GL. This is my first integration using GP 2013 IM. The data resides in a SQL table and the structure of the records is:

TRXDATE, TRXAMNT,ACTNUMST

I created a header which is just SELECT DISTINCT TRXDATE from MyTable

then a detail which is SELECT TRXDATE, TRXAMNT,ACTNUMST

The query relationship is simply on TRXDATE

When I run the integration it appears to randomly decide not to import the distributions. The header will be there but the detail is missing. Half the transactions are fine and the other half are missing the distributions.

Do we have an issue with IM for GP 2013? I do not see a service pack. This integration could not be much simpler. I even tried creating a table with just the dates thinking maybe I have a record lock problem but it fails the same way. If there is no resolution using IM I will need to resort to VS but that will be a waste of time when IM is sitting right here.

RE: Dynamics GP 2013 Integration Manager GL Integration Fails

    Richard,

I am sorry to hear you had some issues, but it made me feel better, as the simplest integrations are failing on 12.  we are on service pack 2 and part of the integrations come in and part just stop or it hangs all together.

I am going to try the resolution below, but what I found was that using the im.mbd from 11 cured the problem for some.  In the company that I am dealing with now I am also wondering if it is a permissions issue. Security is so tight that sometimes you cannot get yoru work done.

if you find anything else, I'd be interested to know.

    thanks

    Carolyn

Thanks Dave. After getting a little sleep I tried changing the format of the date to YYYY.MM.DD and now the integration works. However, I will also try this setting. I must have tried over a dozen variations last night before I finally passed out.

Richard, I had a similar issue on a prior version of GP/IM.  In my case, I was able to get around it by changing the setting in the Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.ini file:  UseOptimizedFiltering= False

In my case, Integration Manager was trying to sort the records to be faster processing the integration.  But in the process the header and detail data sources weren't being sorted efficiently, and records were being overlooked.

I wonder if changing that setting will prevent Integration Manager from trying to shuffle the records in advance, and that could result in the import working correctly.
