Workflow not running sometimes

Hi,

We have a workflow that is triggered when there is a change in some fields. Seems to work fine most of the time, but once in a while nothing happens. When checking the workflows on that entity, it is totally empty.

When trying again, it works fine. Has anyone encountered such thing before? What could be the cause?

how do you know that the workflow didn't run?

maybe it ran and it went on error or did nothing?

The workflow is supposed to create a relation to another entity (fill in a check mark) and it does not do that. When checking the workflows on the account, it does not show that any workflows were triggered.

Have you set the workflow scope to organisation, if not some users interacting will not reach the workflow.

Hi,

there is a checkbox on the workflow configuration screen: "automatically delete completed workflow jobs (to save disk space)". Unless you remove that checkbox, completed jobs will be removed so you won't see them.

Since you don't see anything under the workflow sessions, that simply means there were no errors.

One thing is certain - if the workflow is configured to run, it will run. It's not like it will run sometimes and won't run some other times.

So, then, the question is: why do you think it did not run(and we'll probably need to see the workflow, the triggers, etc)?

Yes i have set it to organization and there is no check mark in the delete to save space.

I know that it didn't run, because it did not fill the action it was set to do in the first step of the workflow and the workflow entity on the account was empty.

Could it be something simple - are you sure one of the trigger fields actually got modified?

Yes, i rechecked everything again. It is a mystery, but for the time being it seems to work.
