Report or Smartlist with Customer Card Notes

Is there a report, or an easy way to create a report with the Notes from the Customer Card? I haven't been able to figure out a Smartlist or a Report that allows us to print the Notes.

Hi Lindsey

This is fairly easy with the report writer too. If you know how to use it. :-)

You need to add a table relationship from the Customer Master to the Record Note Master.

Then create a new text report with a single line of the note text field in the body. Add an additional header on Customer Number and display the Customer ID and Name.

The body will expand as needed to show the lines of the note field.

Hi,

You can print the Notes using Report Writer, but you have to first create a relationship between the Customer Master and the Record Notes Master. You can do this in Report Writer and then craft your report using that tool. I do not recommend using Report Writer. The easiest way is to create a report with SmartList Builder. They have an option where you can check that you want to print the Note text instead of just the index. If you do not have SmartList builder, you can do it with SmartList Designer. Create the report by adding the Record Notes Master and the RM Customer MSTR to your SmartList Object. Link the two tables on the Note Index field.
