    Nizamudeen,

On item 1 - you need to know which account has activity for the 2013 year, in order to see data in the History Summary window.

On item 2 - you need to enter and match an invoice to your PO to see GL transactions in the Purchases and Payables accounts associated with your POP transaction.  Entering and saving purchase order does not create any GL transactions.

It appears as though your inquiry is related to the following windows:

Financial > Inquiry > Summary OR History Summary

    In either window:

Look up or type in the desired account in the Account field.

Use the Drop Down list to choose the correct year in the Year field.

Open years are viewed using the Summary window.

History (Closed) years are viewed using the History Summary window.

Make sure there are posted transactions for the account in the period and year you are reviewing the Summary or History Summary information for.

Transactions must be POSTED in order to appear in the Summary window.

As Mahmoud pointed out, the year-end closing process must have been performed in order for amounts to show in the History Summary field.  The year-end close process must also have been performed in order for the year to appear in the drop-down list in the History Summary Year field.

You should always have a backup prior to closing a year.  This process can be performed in Financial > Routines > Year-End-Closing.  The Year-End-Closing window will also tell you when the closing process was last run, and what the current open year is.

    Hello Nizamudeen

When closing the financial year through year-end closing, financial journals for the open year is transferred into the historical tables. Have you performed the year-end closing for the financial module for the selected year ?

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,
