Sales This Month not updating

Hi all,

The box on BC which shows the "sales this month" does not seem to be "live" as it used to be. The snip below was taken about 4 hours after invoices were done totalling over £60k - and when you click into this number all those invoices are there. I am sure this used to be live, but think it was sometimes last month when it stopped being live - it seems to update at a random time (I thought it might be a day behind but this is not the case). Not sure if anyone else has this issue or if anyone knows how to fix?

Thanks in advance
Duncan

    Hi,
The “Sales This Month” tile and similar KPIs in Business Central may not update in real time because they rely on scheduled background jobs (Job Queue Entries). These jobs refresh the data behind analysis views, KPIs, or extensions such as Power BI dashboards embedded in the Role Center.

    Search → Job Queue Entries
Check in the list for: “Update Analysis Views” and trigger the job manually :
Process → Set Status to Ready
    Process → Start Job Queue
This forces the update immediately instead of waiting for the scheduled cycle

Hi, I checked the standard code. First of all, this standard field is not cue. It will be updated when the page is opened. Isn't this a new cue added by customization?

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

Seems to be a bug with 26.3...

There are no Update Analysis Views in the job queue entry lists.

When I create one with the following options:

    Object Type to Run: Codeunit
Object ID to Run: 410 (Update Analysis View)

and choose Run once (foreground) I get an error that says Record 472 is not compatible with Codeunit.Run(Record(363)).

    Any ideas?

    Hi Duncan,

Thanks for raising this issue! The "Sales This Month" tile in Business Central is typically updated based on data aggregation jobs that run periodically in the background. It’s not always real-time, especially if there have been changes to how the job queue is configured.

Here are a few things you can check:

    1. Job Queue Entries: Go to the Job Queue Entries page and verify if there's a job scheduled for updating KPIs or dashboard tiles. If it's missing or inactive, that could explain the delay.

    2. Data Update Frequency: Some tiles rely on cached data or summarized tables that are refreshed at intervals. You might need to manually trigger a refresh or adjust the schedule.

    3. Customizations or Extensions: If your environment has been customized, it's possible that the logic behind the tile has been altered or disabled.

    4. Environment Performance: In some cases, performance optimizations may delay non-critical updates like dashboard tiles to prioritize transactional processing.

If none of these resolve the issue, I recommend submitting a support ticket or checking with your partner to ensure the KPI update logic is functioning as expected.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

    - This could be the Custom Tile with the sales name and you must be using the Code Unit and it could not be working
