Printing Serial Numbers upon receipting a Purchase Order AX 2012 R3 CU12

Hello everyone

I've set up my system to create a Batch Number and a serial number for certain items that are receipted.

System works as expected - we get one batch number and multiple serial numbers depending on the QTY we book in.

I'm struggling to get the printer to print a label for each serial number - at present all it does is prints the first serial number. I'm assuming this is because there is only one batch number generated.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

I've coded it using ZPL.

Thanks in advanced

I have the same question (0)

    Hi RWJFuller,

Do you have a customization to print the serial numbers? If so, can you share the coding so we can check if you are having a loop or select first record only?

    Hi Andre

No customisation. I've just set up the relevant item dimensions to use both serial and batch numbers. The process works as expected. When I register the items it assigns one batch and then the boys in goods-in assign a unique serial number to each item. I have a print step on my work template. I've also coded the labels to print using ZPL. My intial thought was the ^PQ function on the label code (print quantity) but after a few tweaks I could still only get it to print the first serial number from that batch.

I don't have an AX2012 environment to check your scenario. I can see in the ZPL code that a placeholder is used. Have you verified in the AX coding what is being replaced as real value here?

    Hi RWJFuller,

Are these considered License Plate labels?

If so, I found the below:
