I have been using the Fixed Asset module since we started with GP in 2009. I am having a problem with new assets not calculating the Yearly Depreciation Rate. I am using a Straight-Line Orig Life. All the costs are entered correctly, and the distribution entry is correct, but the software is not calculating the rate and therefore no depreciation has been captured for the new assets. Is this a bug or am I entering something incorrectly?

Hi,

To my knowledge there isn't any problem with the Fixed Asset module calculating depreciation on newly acquired assets.
