I am trying to debug a plugin on the remote itself i.e. i have crm and visual studio on the same server.

i am attaching the worker process to the visual studio (w3wp) worker process.

after attaching this trying to create a record on the mscrm.

but in the visual studio the break point gives a warning as below.

The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document.

what i am missing here or whats wrong in this.

    Hi,

    Please follow exactly this guide:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg328574.aspx

Assure that the new pdb file and if necessary the assembly is in this folder:

    ..\Program Files\Microsoft CRM\server\bin\assembly

    Sometimes IISReset can help also

    Cheers,

    Andreas

    Hi

Build plugin code again and update in the CRM through plugin registration tool.

Then attach to process w3wp and if your plugin is configured as synchronous then

    MSCRMsandbox

If your plugin is configured as asynch then MSCRMSandbox and Asynch

I'm pretty sure that video is there. Anyway good luck reaching content of that video because is addresses your issue and since I've seen that video it's the only way I use to debug plugins for CRM.

    Hello Andreas,

in the url you provided i have come across the below tip.

It is possible to debug a database deployed plug-in. The compiled plug-in assembly's symbol file (.pdb) must be copied to the server's <crm-root>\Server\bin\assembly folder and Internet Information Services (IIS) must then be restarted. After debugging has been completed, you must remove the symbol file and reset IIS to prevent the process that was executing the plug-in from consuming additional memory.

but how to do this i am little confused , can you provide any sample images for the same.

    Hi,

Step:1 Copy your .pdb file in the following path "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\bin"

    Step:2 Restart the IIS
