The environment:
We have Business Portal 5.1 for SL2011 installed on SharePoint 2010. A remote user is having a hard time creating a new timecard and opening an existing timecard. The remote workgroup computer has Internet Explorer 11 and MS Office 2013 Home and Business installed. We have added our SharePoint URL to Trusted Sites and Compatibility View on the computer. The computer has MSXML 3 and 6 installed and the add-ons are enabled in IE 11. The username and password work fine on my computer in our office and on the domain. I can create a timecard and add line items to the timecard.
The issue:
On the remote computer, we can log into Business Portal and see the timecard that I created. Once we click on the New button or the existing timecard, the issue presents itself. Clicking on he New button generates no visible effect. Clicking on the existing timecard generates a "Page not found" error within the left pane of the webpage.
Other steps taken:
The last troubleshooting effort was to run "sfc /scannow" to repair any prerequisites such as MSXML. The scan completed, fixing some issues, but not others. I started to look through the log of the system file checker scan, but ended up not spending that much time on that avenue.
The question:
What would cause clicking on a timecard link in the Time page of the Project tab to generate a "Page not found" error within the left navigation pane?
