Trouble with HQ Reorder and Restock levels

Hello,

I am having trouble lining up all my reorder points and restock levels between all my stores.

First is there a simple way to enter these desired numbers from HQ and have them sent down to the stores? I think I can achieve this with worksheet 308 but it is a single number and It doesn't allow for variation between store to store.

Next, does is the "Store Quantity Tab" supposed to deploy or update these numbers? I do see that "Store quantity tab" picks up physical inventory. Example it does normally update the amount of items I have in stock, but it never updates the reorder or restock level. When first attempting to start the whole reorder process I entered numbers into the store quantity tab with no luck. They didn't deploy down to the store level.

Lastly I went to see these numbers at the HQ level using the report "Item Quantity List". I noticed a lot of items with a restock level of 1. I looked into 1 item as a sample and didn't notice anywhere in the item properties a number which would indicate a Restock level of 1. Even under "Store Quantity" all stores were set at 0. So I ran a worksheet 308 for the particular item and set it 0. After doing so and running the same "Item Quantity List" report it still says 1. What is this due to?

Any help on any of the issues would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue. This is very confusing.

If the restocking info is entered at the store level, there does not seem to be any way to deploy it to HQ.

To deploy these numbers from HQ to the stores:

    1. Go to maintenance mode

    2. Open items and go to Store Quantity Tab.

    3. Change reorder levels for each store.

    4. Repeat for all items.

    5. Exit Maintenance mode and run Worksheet 308 for those items you updated.

Be careful to only run 308 only for those items you actually updated because it will overwrite whatever is in the store database, even it is 0.

It sounds like both of you need to Request a the Store's info to be sent to HQ.  Run a 501 worksheet and then after that run a Task 190 to update the store's info with HQ.

To make your re-order info changes, either make them individually or use the 308 worksheet.  The 308 can be set on a store by store basis.

Remember that you can use formulas and copy cells for ease of use.

    Thank you Jeff.

Deploying these levels to the store is as you say. However, bringing them FROM the store does not seem to work. As in my operation, each store has different levels and they are determined by the local managers. The levels they put in their system is not reflected in HQ.

I don't think you can do this without and add-on.  Let me look around for something

Has anyone found a solution that allows HQ to manage individual store reorder/restock levels?  I have 20 stores with varying levels of inventory and assortment and having to log-in to each location seperately to manage the stocking level is an enormous time constraint and horribly inefficient.  Any help would be much appreciated.

What is it you want HQ to do? If your levels are different at each store those numbers have to be managed at the store level.

it's actually there, it's the SnapshotReorderPoint and SnapShotRestockLevel in ItemDynamic for itemid and storeid

It's obviously not the ideal solution, but the Item Snapshot Quantity List report will give you the current reorder points and restock levels set at all stores. This is doubly unhelpful, as the default report doesn't allow filtering by obvious criteria like department, category, and supplier.  It's easy enough to modify the report to include these criteria, though.

Also, like FCASES suggested, you could potentially import these values into the store quantity tab with a short sql update statement after having a store process a 501 worksheet. This isn't dynamic, though, and you would have to reprocess a 501 and rerun the statement every time you wanted to update these values. With a little fiddling you could at least schedule this to occur nightly, though it's a poor substitute for some pretty basic functionality.

I believe a customization could be done using a trigger (or a job) that updates a user defined table which is configured to be replicated with the 401 worksheet thru the TableSync table
