Dataverse as Dynamics data source - Beginner Question

Hi,

Since i find myself getting mixed information, i'd rather ask here before going forward with the product.

Q. If i already have a dataverse table with all employee information that i use through a power app, is it possible to use this dataverse table in dynamics 365 as my employee database? That way modifications made in power apps would also happen in dynamics and vice-versa.

I have many tables in dataverse that are already being used in power apps, being allowed to pick those tables as the data sources in dynamics for different tasks and work on both systems while having all their information synced up would be very compelling!

Also, considering those dataverse tables are highly personalized, can i assume that dynamics will allow me to add all their fields to a given interface just like power apps?

Hi,

Yes, if you have create your tables in Dataverse then :

- You can use these tables as a datasource in your Power Apps

- You can also use them in Dynamics 365 for Customer engagement.

Dynamics 365 CE is considered as a model driven app, so you can add add your tables in the site map of the app, then configure your forms where you can add your fields,.
